This last weekend was a crazy busy one again. It started with friday when my co-workers threw a surprise baby shower for me. I couldn't believe it! Usually I am pretty good about picking up on clues, but I had absolutely no idea about this one. They did such a great job! I got even more gifts for the baby. Now there is a giant pile of stuff in her room that I have to sort through and try to figure out how to organize. I had no idea that babies needed so much stuff! It was a good little party and I'm so glad that I have everything I need for this baby's arrival.
Saturday I went to Oak Harbor to meet up with my mom and Nikki. Nikki was having her bachelorette party in Anacortes on saturday night. It turned out to be a lot of fun. There were mostly girls from high school that came to the party. Nikki had a great time. I didn't stay long because I got tired, so I headed back with my mom and her friend (yes my mom came). The party was just in the Majestic hotel and we were mostly sitting around the hotel eating, talking, drinking (not me of course) and playing games. They all headed out to the bars about 11:00 and that's when I headed back to Oak Harbor. I'll post pictures of this event later too.
Sunday my mom and I painted a piggy bank at a pottery painting place for baby girl. It was so much fun. The pig is kind of large, but that's ok. We'll have to put her to work so she can earn her allowance so she can fill it up. :) It's a purple pig with blue eyes and eyelashes and polka dots. It's so cute. I took a picture of the unfinished pig...and I will post it later too. We don't get it back until thursday so I won't get to see it until mom brings it up when the baby is born. I had a good time with my mom this weekend.
This coming up weekend isn't going to be so bad. We have a wedding to go to in Seattle and that's about it. It's slowly starting to slow down for us, but for some reason Brandon and I are always so busy! I guess we should get used to that for when the baby comes. :)
