I'm trying to think back to what Allison was doing at the end of May. So hard to remember already!
So the end of May, Allison turned 8 months. She got her first ear infection and I had no idea! I was a paranoid mom and would take her to the doctor all the time when she was first sick. No ear infection each time I took her...maybe 3 times? Then one day she woke up and just looked awful. She had green snot and a fever. I stayed home from work to be with her even though her fever was just hovering around 99. Then I saw it climb, so I took her to the doctor and by the time she got in, it was 102!! Poor little thing! I hate it when babie's are sick. You don't know how they feel and it just breaks your heart! The doctor perscribed antibiotics...3 times a day for 10 days. That made Allison sick too! She had diarrhea and wasn't eating. Not a fun time for us. I was so happy when that medicine was done. She hated taking it so it was such a battle to get her to eat it.
Anyway, on a happier note, Allison started army crawling sometime before 8 months. She was now mobile! I started baby proofing soon after. :)
We have such a fun and happy little girl! We are definitely blessed. And an added bonus is that she's so cute! She get a lot of compliments when we go to the grocery store. :)
Sometime during this month, Brandon was working out of town. It was just us girls at home. There was one night that I got her to bed super easy, then just as I was going to bed she woke up...of course. That always seems to happen. This was probably arond 11:00..and didn't go to bed until 1am! I tried bringing her to bed with me, but that backfired...she thought she was so cool for being in mommy's bed. It turned into a game. She kept touching my face and rolling all over the place...everything but sleeping. So I just decided to roll over and try to go to sleep to see what she did. Next thing I know, I hear this little body making her way closer to me, then I felt the presence of her face right next to mine. I turned over, and her face was right there. Then she proceeded to kiss me, and then laughed. It turned into a giggle fest at 1am. I love those moments!
Here we took her to a park to try out the swing. She was tired so it wasn't as exciting as I had hoped. :)
I love these pictures
Allison is now 9 months old! We had her 9 month doctor appointment when she was about 8.5 months since I had a day off of work. She weighed in at 15 pounds 13 ounces (10%). Tiny little thing! But, she did poop 3 times before the appointment...and she was only up for an hour! So I think she's 16 pounds. She was 26 inches long (10%) and her head was in the 25%...I can't remember the numbers. Unfortunately she had another ear infection! This time both ears! The doctor thinks that the first one just didn't go away, so it's the same one. Bummer! So another round of antibiotics..different ones this time (thank goodness!) and shorter. She did much better on these new ones. We had no idea she still had her ear infection. She wasn't super fussy and no fever this time. I feel so bad that it went on for this long without us knowing! We go back next week to check so hopefully it's gone this time!
So just in the past week so much has changed! She perfected her army crawl and was sooo close to regular crawling, but then decided that she wanted us to walk her around instead. We have had to walk her around the house, outside...everywhere! She's not even close to walking, but she thinks she's pretty cool trying to get aroun like we do. :) Then on her 9 month birthday, she decided to regular crawl. So now she's really mobile! I need to baby proof some more! Just the other day we noticed her first tooth is coming in too (finally)! It's amazing to watch babies grow. So much has changed in just a month. I can't belive that in just three months, she will be 1. Time goes by way too fast!
Walking with my mom.
I love this outfit on her!
Ruffle butt!
