Father's Day Weekend

Father's day weekend, Allison happened to have a four day weekend. Because it was the end of the year they close for two days in June. We didn't want to waste the long weekend just hanging out at home so we decided to take a trip to Winthrop. Brandon had never been and I have been wanting to go with him for a long time. We rented a house on VRBO and invited some good friends from college to go too (Robert, Lindsey and Kara Engeset and Craig and Katie Tasa).
The house was absolutely amazing. It was a huge house that sat on a river. Beautiful. The only problem was there were mice. Yes mice. Gross! We were all playing games in the screened in porch (kids were sleeping) listening to the sound of the river when I happend to see something in the corner of my eye. I thought it was a leaf, but I did a double take. A mouse!!!!!! Then it scurried INTO the house! The girls jumped on the chairs and the guys ran inside and grabbed some weapons (a bowl, and a broom). We ended up not catching it even though we saw it a few more times. We think we were able to baracade it into the kitchen so we could sleep at night...or maybe we just had to tell ourselves that. :) It was quite the evening. Other than the mouse or mice in the house, we had a great time. I think we should go back every year. :)
