I didn't realize that it's been almost two weeks since I've written in my blog. Whoops! So since the last time I've written, I threw a bridal shower for my sister Nikki, we went to Brandon's high school reunion and I've had another doctors appointment.

Nikki's bridal shower was a lot of fun. It turned out to be a really nice little party. The theme was 'Around the Clock'. We (my other sister Kellie and I) sent out invitations and gave everyone a time of day. They had to give Nikki a gift based on that time. There were such creative gifts! One girl had the time of 10pm and gave her the movie 'date night' and some bowls for popcorn. Another girl had the time 8pm. She was the most creative. She had a bunch of gifts all in a basket, individually wrapped, each with a different time on it (ie: 8:00, 8:05, 8:07...) She had Nikki open all the gifts in their time order. The first one was lingerie, next was a candle, chocolate, wine, then massage oil. The very last thing was a giant hour long sand timer...I forgot the name of it...but it was for Andrew to give Nikki an hour long massage. So cute! We played some cheesy bridal shower games. Nikki is not a game player, but I think she had a good time. I will have to upload some pictures when I get a chance.

Last weekend we went to Brandon's high school reunion. There were three events, but we only went to one. It wasn't so bad. He was glad he went and made the rounds. I was surprised at how many people went to Western from his class. I recognized quite a few people. Glad that both of us made it through our 10 year HS reunions!

The other day I had a doctors appointment. Baby girl is still breech. Last appointment my doctor wasn't too concerned about it. She still isn't really, but she told me to do some exercises that might help flip her. I'm supposed to get on all fours, put my head to the ground and rock my pelvis back and forth. She said that sometimes her butt might be stuck in my pelvis so this should help dislodge her and then make her flip. She also said that I could put a flashlight on the lower part of my belly. I guess the baby will go towards the light. She says it's a wives tale, but people swear by it. I did both last night. The exercises are exhausting. I have to do them twice a day for 15 minutes each. 15 minutes with my head down is a long time! I felt a little light headed. The flashlight thing was cool. She definitely moved when I did that. So I am hoping I can get her to flip in the next two weeks. For how active she is I'm surprised she hasn't flipped already. If she can't flip, I have the option of having her manually flipped at about 37 weeks. I'd be hooked up to IVs and monitored. It could possibly stress the baby. I'm not sure I want that. I wouldn't want to go into premature labor and have an emergency C-section at 37 weeks. And that might only work 50% of the time. Or I could wait it out and schedule a C-section at 39 weeks. I'm glad she told me what could happen because I like to know, but right now I need to worry about flipping her a more natural way. Other than that, baby is very healthy. I'm measuring right on and her heartbeat sounds great. I'm getting excited to meet her! 5.5 more weeks to go!
