The next day, we set out for Cannon Beach. Things take longer with a newborn since we have to stop a lot to feed and change her. It wasn't so bad though. When we got there, we basically had a few hours of daylight so we hit the beach. It was soooo windy. We were lucky that it wasn't raining when we went. Once it got dark, we just cozied up in our room with the gas fireplace on. It was a nice and relaxing trip. Yes there was lots of poop and spit up, but it was definitely worth getting out of the house. I'm so glad we went.
We called her our little gnome since we randomly placed her in photos. :)
Self portraits in the room:
On our way back home, we stayed another night in Longview to break up the trip again. The day we headed back to Seattle from Longivew, we went to breakfast. It was the first time we went to a restaurant with Allison.
Here she is in the booth:
On the way home from Longview, we stopped in Yelm to visit another friend who had a baby the day after we did. Little William. I didn't get any pictures though. :(
This little vacation boosted my confidence about going places with a baby. I feel so much better about it! Plus, we have such a good baby! She was a GREAT little traveler!
The trip sounds so relaxing!!!! I'm so glad it went well. She sure looks like she's enjoying herself in the restaurant ;)
