I always hear of people's children having these massive blowouts out in public. I just thought they used diapers that were too small, or they didn't plan properly. I also thought that the poop up the back, that Allison seemed to do for quite a while, was what they meant. Nope!
So because we've been introducing solids to Allison, she got a little bit constipated the other day. Hadn't really pooped for about two days. We gave her some prunes just to make things working again. Totally worked. She went a few times in the afternoon. So when I got home from work, Brandon's mom (who was babysitting her that day) and I decided to go out to dinner and take Allison. Right when we got to the Thai restaurant, I noticed she smelled. No big deal. I'll just go change her. The restaurant didn't have a changing table in the bathroom so I had to go out to my car. It wasn't until I was out there that I noticed her pants were wet...they were brown so I didn't see any color. It finally hit me, it HAD to be poop. Sure enough it was and it was everywhere! Up the sides and back a little and down the legs. I guess those prunes really worked! I had no idea what to do for a minute. THANK GOODNESS I had a change of clothes. When I took her diaper off, she kept kicking her legs and got her feet in it! It got on my hands and everything. SO GROSS! I had to write this down so I would never forget my first blowout moment. :) I'm so glad she feels better!
Love it! Now THIS is something that Allison will love to read when she is a Mommy herself!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Go Allison!! You know, Luke never had big blow outs like that. He would occassionally leak his diaper. But nothing like this! Then again, I had the whole boy pee thing to deal with on a daily basis...
