Sleep update
For about a week now, Brandon and I have been putting Allison in her crib in her own room. She was in a pack in play next to our bed since we brought her home from the hospital. I decided that since we traveled so much during the holidays, it would probably be a good time to put her in her crib. Plus, she hit the 3 month mark so I felt better about having her sleep away from us. I got freaked out and went out and bought breathable bumpers. They aren't very cute though, so when I'm more comfortable, I might put the soft ones back on...they have patterns and numbers for her to look at. The transition has been really hard to do though! I have a monitor on all night and I check on her constantly. I am so glad that we are doing that though, because Brandon and I can now have our space back. Plus we can talk to each other at night rather than be as quiet as we can so we don't wake her up. We have had some really rough nights lately though. Getting her to sleep has probably been the hardest part of motherhood. As soon as we'd lay her down, she'd wake back up! But just the other day, something switched. I don't know if she finally got it, or me or both, but the last 3 nights have been great! The first night she went down at 9:30! Second night 10:15 and last night 10! And last night I only put her down once and she was down for the night! She has also been napping a little bit more. Sometimes in her swing and sometimes in her crib. About 30 minutes to an hour so I can get just a few things done, or just sit a zone out and have some peace and quiet. :)
